Registered Nurse (RN) - Various Positions - Halifax Campus

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Northwood Halifax Campus. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and collaborating with our interdisciplinary team to achieve exceptional outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver person-centered care to patients, prioritizing their physical, emotional, and social needs.
  • Coordinate care plans and work collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure seamless transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Perform administrative duties, including documentation and data entry, to maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients, identifying their unique needs and developing tailored care plans.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensuring that patient information is secure and confidential.
  • Address mental health and social issues, advocating for patients and promoting healthy lifestyle choices.
  • Respond to complaints and concerns, ensuring that issues are addressed promptly and effectively.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with patients, families, and colleagues, fostering a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Organize and prioritize work to ensure efficient and effective delivery of patient care.
  • Establish and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff, adhering to infection control and safety protocols.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse with the Province of Nova Scotia.
  • Minimum 6 months of related experience, preferably in long-term care.
  • Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • CPR and First Aid certificates required.
