Job Title: Long Haul Truck Driver

Jiffy Express Inc. is seeking a skilled Long Haul Truck Driver to join our team. As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, often across multiple states or provinces.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive Safely: Operate a tractor-trailer combination safely and efficiently, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and Unload Cargo: Load and unload goods at designated locations, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Communication: Relay information to central dispatch and record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Certifications: Air Brake (Z) Endorsement and Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Language: English.
  • Availability: Willing to travel for extended periods and overnight.
Work Environment:

As a Long Haul Truck Driver, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, often under tight deadlines. You will be required to work overtime and be physically demanding.
