Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, ensuring safe and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Load and unload goods, adhering to safety protocols and regulations.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to maintain vehicle integrity.
  • Perform preventive maintenance, adhering to scheduled maintenance and repair schedules.
  • Receive and relay information to central dispatch, ensuring timely communication and coordination.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption, maintaining accurate records.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo during transportation.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
  • Valid passport
  • Bondable
  • Valid driver's license
  • Willingness to travel for extended periods and overnight
Work Environment:
  • Physically demanding work environment
  • Overtime required
  • Attention to detail and ability to work independently
