Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, transporting goods safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive a tractor-trailer combination over long distances, adhering to all traffic laws and regulations.
  • Load and unload goods, ensuring accurate and efficient handling.
  • Perform pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle is in good working condition.
  • Oversee the condition of the vehicle, inspecting tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment.
  • Perform emergency roadside repairs and maintain a clean and organized vehicle.
  • Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveled, and fuel consumption.
  • Tarping and ensuring the safety and security of cargo.
Requirements:
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement.
  • Driver's License (Class 1 or A).
  • Valid passport.
  • Bondable.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Willing to travel for extended periods.
  • Willing to travel overnight.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will be required to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent travel and varying weather conditions.
