Investment Analyst Job Description

As an Investment Analyst at National Bank Financial – Wealth Management, you will be part of a dynamic team of 1,000 investment advisors in the 5th largest investment brokerage firm in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and track individual stocks, exchange-traded funds, investment funds, and other securities that may be included in investment portfolios.
  • Create and regularly update model portfolios to optimize investment returns.
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Produce financial reports to stakeholders, including clients and management.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest economic news and market trends to inform investment decisions.
  • Collaborate with managers to prepare recommendations for new clients and contribute to the preparation of bi-monthly investment committee meetings.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field.
  • Three years of experience in the securities industry.
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course.
  • CFA and/or CIM designation.
  • Knowledge of Croesus 8+ asset management software.
