Investment Analyst Job Description

At National Bank Financial – Wealth Management, we're seeking a skilled Investment Analyst to join our team of 1,000 investment advisors. As an Investment Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in strategically managing client investments and providing exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Analyze and track individual stocks, exchange-traded funds, investment funds, and other securities in client portfolios
  • Develop and maintain model portfolios to optimize investment returns
  • Monitor portfolio performance and provide regular updates to clients
  • Prepare comprehensive financial reports to inform investment decisions
  • Stay up-to-date on market trends and economic news to make informed investment recommendations
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers to develop investment strategies and recommendations for new clients
  • Contribute to the preparation of bi-monthly investment committee meetings to discuss market trends and investment opportunities
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or a related field
  • Three years of experience in the securities industry
  • Successful completion of the Canadian Securities Course and the Conduct and Practices Handbook Course
  • CFA and/or CIM designation
  • Knowledge of Croesus 8+ asset management software
