Job Title: Senior Vice President of Market Risk and Delivery

Job Summary:

The Toronto-Dominion Bank (Canada) is seeking a highly skilled Senior Vice President of Market Risk and Delivery to lead the development and implementation of market risk management strategies. This role will be responsible for providing executive leadership over market risk projects and driving the delivery vision for market risk related platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Accountable for the end-to-end delivery of market risk initiatives, including business enablement, integration, and regulatory and platform modernization.
  • Apply expert negotiation skills and ability to influence others to drive delivery.
  • Transform high-level vision and complex concepts into solutions with detailed requirements and efficient execution design.
  • Manage end-to-end delivery across all impacted business and technology groups.
  • Tailored coaching and development for a team of seasoned delivery colleagues.
  • Accountable for key delivery decisions and aligning technology and business objectives into a shared delivery vision.
  • Establishes program governance structures for effective delivery orchestration.
  • Responsible for executing the program/project across all domains to meet success criteria.
  • Establishes and manages resource plan, issues, risks, and financial plans.
  • Coordinates with the respective enterprise control partners to appropriately select, engage, and manage external service providers as required.

Requirements:

  • In-depth familiarity with one or more of the following functional areas in capital markets: Project/program delivery, operations, technology, risk management, or business management.
  • Outstanding record of project delivery success.
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Ability to thrive in ambiguity and demonstrate resilience under pressure.
  • Demonstrates superior interpersonal, conflict resolution, and negotiating skills.

Education:

  • University degree or equivalent.
