We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our team at Lawtons Pharmacy in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient-centered care and exceeding patient expectations.

About the Role

This is a full-time opportunity that requires a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. As a Registered Pharmacy Technician, you will be responsible for preparing, processing, and compounding prescriptions, as well as providing injections and vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Receiving and transcribing verbal prescriptions from practitioners
  • Ensuring prescriptions are complete and authentic
  • Providing injections/vaccinations as applicable by regulations in certain jurisdictions
  • Transferring prescriptions to and receiving prescriptions from other pharmacies
  • Ensuring the accuracy of prepared prescriptions
  • Conducting the final check of prepared prescriptions
  • Confirming the accuracy of drug and personal health information in patient records

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require a completion of the Pharmacy Technician Certification and excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work independently in a fast-paced environment. A Registered Pharmacy Technician License and Injection Certification are preferred.
