At Mattino Developments Inc., we are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Operations Specialist to support our financial operations and contribute to the overall success of the organization.

Overview

We are a home construction business that values accuracy, efficiency, and compliance in all aspects of our operations. Our ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts, and ensuring adherence to accounting principles.

Salary and Benefits

The estimated annual salary for this position is $35,918 - $71,838 based on 20 hours of work per week. The compensation package includes flexible scheduling during weekdays in a small office with autonomy and support for mundane tasks, allowing focus on priorities.

Job Responsibilities

  1. Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable and receivable.
  2. Perform account analysis and account reconciliation to ensure accuracy.
  3. Process payroll and ensure timely payments to employees.
  4. Conduct bank reconciliations to verify transactions and balances.
  5. Assist in budgeting processes by providing necessary financial data.
  6. Utilize QuickBooks for efficient record-keeping.
  7. Prepare financial reports as needed for management review.
  8. Collaborate with an accountant to gather and reconcile necessary financial information.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar accounting role.
  2. Proficiency with QuickBooks.
  3. Residential construction experience preferred.
  4. Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  5. Experience with payroll processing and bank reconciliation.
  6. Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  7. Ability to analyze financial data and prepare reports accurately.
  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  9. Certification preferred but relevant experience will be considered.

Additional Information

This is a part-time, permanent position with no weekends required. Flexible language requirements apply, with English being the primary language used in the workplace. A secondary school education is preferred, and a minimum of 5 years of experience with QuickBooks and 3 years of experience in residential construction are required.
