We are seeking a highly skilled Rental Operations Manager to lead our Mississauga branch. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and foster a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety Leadership: Ensure all employees adhere to company safety standards and customer safety protocols when on-site.
  • Business Development: Identify new business opportunities, develop location strategies, and manage resources to increase revenue and maximize profitability.
  • Market Analysis: Conduct thorough market analysis to understand customers, competitors, and local market initiatives.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an optimal inventory of equipment for service and repair within accepted company standards.
  • Team Management: Hire, train, and mentor team members in various roles, from rental coordinators to parts, service, and drivers.
  • Performance Reviews: Conduct regular performance reviews with staff, discussing strengths, development opportunities, and holding employees accountable for daily activities and business objectives.
  • Merchandising Initiatives: Drive in-store merchandising efforts, including pricing, inventory control, product placement, and more.
  • Policies and Procedures: Ensure all corporate policies and procedures are administered and followed by branch staff.
  • Customer Service: Foster a high level of customer satisfaction, resolving service issues efficiently.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, including profit and loss statements, safety inspections, operating reviews, and budgets.
  • Financial Management: Monitor overdue accounts, credit risks, and maintain accurate inventories to prevent slow-moving items.
  • Expenditure Control: Authorize expenditures, approve invoices, and manage petty cash effectively.

Requirements:

  • 5+ Years of Experience: In the rental industry or related fields, including construction, home improvement, or retail.
  • Multi-Tasking: Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks accordingly.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven track record of decisive actions via analytical thinking, goal-directed leadership, and service-oriented performance.
  • Results-Oriented: Demonstrated history of success in driving business growth and improving operational efficiency.
  • Financial Acumen: Competent financial management skills, with experience in directing and motivating teams.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interface with cross-functional teams and departments.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel, with valid driver's license and clean driver's abstract.
  • Health and Safety: Experience with Health and Safety training is an asset, as is technical aptitude of CAT equipment and operations.
  • Travel Requirements: Willingness to travel as required for business purposes.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
