Senior Culinary Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Culinary Specialist to join our team at S1 FOOD SERVICE. This is a full-time position that offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits.
About the RoleAs a Senior Culinary Specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods. You will work closely with kitchen staff and helpers to ensure that all food is prepared to a high standard and that customers with food allergies or intolerances are catered for.
You will also be responsible for inspecting kitchens and food service areas to ensure that they meet health and safety standards. Additionally, you will train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food, as well as ordering supplies and equipment.
Supervising kitchen staff and helpers is another key aspect of this role, as is maintaining inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment. Finally, you will be responsible for cleaning kitchen and work areas and managing kitchen operations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the preparation and cooking of complete meals or individual dishes and foods.
- Cater for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Inspect kitchens and food service areas to ensure health and safety standards are met.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Order supplies and equipment.
- Supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
- Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies and equipment.
- Clean kitchen and work areas.
- Manage kitchen operations.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a secondary (high) school graduation certificate and 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a similar role. You must also be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
Additionally, you will need to have strong organizational skills and be reliable and a team player. You should also have attention to detail and be able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

The estimated salary for this role is between $45,000 and $60,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
