Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Fund Accountant to join our Private Equity team at SS&C Technologies. As a Senior Fund Accountant, you will be responsible for maintaining all financial data in our investment database, posting journal entries, and preparing monthly trial balance reports.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial data in our investment database
  • Post journal entries and prepare monthly trial balance reports
  • Reconcile cash received from investors and investments
  • Reconcile bank accounts
  • Calculate capital calls and distributions
  • Allocate income to partners in accordance with partnership agreements
  • Prepare and issue monthly/quarterly financial reporting
  • Maintain and update investment data
  • Manage relationships with clients and counterparties
  • Assist with implementation of new clients and special projects

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA and/or MBA are strong pluses
  • 2+ years of experience in fund accounting, preferably in Private Equity
  • Strong knowledge of Bloomberg, financial reporting, and financial products
  • Proven ability to work as part of a team
  • Excellent client relationship management skills
  • Prior experience training, delegating tasks, and reviewing work is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Ability to interact with others at various levels
