About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Mental Health Therapist to join our Child and Adolescent Services team. Reporting to the Manager of Mental Health and Addictions, this role involves working with children and adolescents up to 19 years old, providing assessment and treatment for mental health or concurrent disorders.

The successful candidate will work in a multi-disciplinary service that provides care in various settings, including outpatient clinics, schools, and satellite clinics. Responsibilities may include supervising case managers and behavioral interventionists, creating evidence-based educational presentations, and participating in grand rounds.

Requirements
  • Masters of Social Work with a specialization in clinical or mental health stream, or a Master's Degree in Social Work from an acceptable institution with significant coursework in mental health disorders and treatment.
  • Registered with the Nova Scotia College of Social Work.
  • Two years' experience in clinical settings, providing independent assessments and treatments for adult mental health disorders.
  • Competence in assessment, intervention, and research, as well as specialized knowledge of acute and persistent mental illness and concurrent disorders.
Compensation

This is a permanent full-time position offering $37.31-$49.05 per hour. The successful candidate may also be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
