Addiction Counselling Role:
The Indigenous Women's Healing Centre seeks a qualified Addiction Counsellor to provide support and programming for residents dealing with addiction issues. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Operations Manager, adhering to the centre's philosophy, goals, and service policies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individual and group counselling sessions to residents
- Develop and implement programme plans to address addiction issues
- Maintain professional boundaries and confidentiality
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure resident safety and well-being
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field, or equivalent experience
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills
- Knowledge of Indigenous culture and traditions an asset
- CPR/1st Aid certification required
Compensation Package:
The estimated annual salary for this role is $62,000 - $72,000 CAD, commensurate with experience. Additional benefits include comprehensive health and dental insurance, paid vacation time, and opportunities for professional development.
