Job Title: Hospitality Support Worker

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Hospitality Support Worker to join our team at Saskatchewan Polytechnic. As a key member of our hospitality team, you will provide exceptional customer service and support to our students and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide customer service and cashier duties, ensuring accurate and efficient transactions and end-of-day procedures.
  • Assist in food preparation, maintaining Food Safe conditions and adhering to portion control guidelines.
  • Communicate effectively with programming teams to ensure seamless customer experiences.
  • Work in various service styles, including banquet, quick, counter, and table service, and assist with bartending duties.
  • Label items for sale, update menu information, and maintain accurate pricing.
  • Fill and stock as necessary, organize till floats, and prepare change orders.
  • Address customer inquiries and assist with receiving and dispersing food and supply orders.
  • Participate in banquet set-ups, service, and tear-downs, and maintain a clean and organized workspace.
  • Complete dishwashing and cleaning tasks as required.
Qualifications, Skills, and Abilities:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years' experience working in a food service setting.
  • Food Safe Level 1 Certification.
  • Excellent customer service skills and effective communication.
  • Able to address minor workplace issues and multitask in various service styles.
  • Basic understanding of point-of-sale operations and commercial kitchen equipment.
  • Bondable and computer skills, including knowledge of software used in food services.
