Executive Chef

We are seeking an experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Desi Bar and Grill. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and presentation of our menu items, as well as managing the kitchen staff.
Key Responsibilities:- Estimating and Managing Food Costs: Estimate the amount and costs of supplies and food items, and maintain records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Labor Management: Supervise the activities of specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers, and instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Menu Development: Create new recipes and demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to cooking staff.
- Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, and arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
- Team Leadership: Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff, and provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years.
- Language: English.
- Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
