Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Mining & Minerals team at our Saskatoon, SK office. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging, innovative, and sustainable solutions for potash, lithium, uranium, and base metal projects.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the design and operation of potash and uranium plants. You will be responsible for performing calculations for equipment design, such as for tanks, pumps, and conveyors, and will have the opportunity to work on projects abroad with our national and global mining teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and operate potash and uranium plants
  • Perform calculations for equipment design
  • Work on projects abroad with our national and global mining teams
  • Collaborate with our team to develop innovative and sustainable solutions
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience with potash and/or uranium plant design and operations
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (with APEGS in the Province of Saskatchewan)
  • Familiarity with design codes, equipment, and material selection and specification development
