Senior Mechanical Engineer Opportunity

Wood is seeking a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our Mining & Minerals team at our Saskatoon, SK office. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work on challenging, innovative, and sustainable solutions for potash, lithium, uranium, and base metal projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop mechanical systems for potash and uranium plants
  • Collaborate with our national and global mining teams to deliver projects
  • Work on projects abroad, with offices in 30 countries worldwide
  • Develop and maintain design codes, equipment, and material specifications
  • Perform calculations for equipment design, such as tanks, pumps, and conveyors
  • Familiarity with pipe stress calculations and underground operations is an asset
Requirements:
  • 15+ years of experience with potash and/or uranium plant design and operations
  • Undergraduate or Graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Registered as a Professional Engineer (with APEGS in the Province of Saskatchewan)
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work efficiently and effectively
