The BC Centre for Excellence in HIV/AIDS is a world-renowned research centre dedicated to improving the health of British Columbians with HIV.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Coordinator, Quality Improvement Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on quality improvement initiatives and projects that make a real difference in people's lives.

About the Role

This full-time position will play a key role in planning, implementing, and coordinating quality improvement initiatives and projects at our centre. You will work closely with our Project Lead to develop and implement effective methodologies, ensure successful project deliverables, and report on progress.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed project plans and objectives, outlining timelines and deliverables using project management methods.
  • Coordinate and facilitate project events and activities.
  • Monitor and report on project progress using electronic reporting tools.
  • Prepare and distribute regular project status reports to inform leadership and funders of progress.
  • Assist in preparing abstracts, posters, and PowerPoint presentations using project reports and data.
  • Work collaboratively with all project stakeholders and contributors through effective communication.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree in health sciences, public health, or a related field, supplemented by a minimum of two years of related professional experience in healthcare administration.
  • Knowledge and experience in applying project management methods, quality improvement methodologies (PDSA, LEAN, SIGMA), and preparation of publications, documents, and reports.
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work, with strong logistical and administrative skills.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, including ability to communicate clearly and effectively in person, over email, and by telephone.

Benefits and Salary

This is a salaried position with a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per year, commensurate with experience. Benefits include medical, dental, vacation, and sick time.
