Family Support Network Specialist
Wood\u2019s Homes is a not-for-profit mental health centre based in Calgary, with locations across Alberta. Our mission is to build good mental health and well-being so everyone can thrive in their community.
We are seeking a Family Support Network Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering family support services to children and families in the care of Wood\u2019s Homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Complete program-related assessment processes and jointly establish goals and areas of focus.
- Advocate for families and support the development of a network of resources with the family, community, and other involved professionals.
- Provide parent skills training and individual and family counselling.
- Attend to the safety of all family members by intervening directly in crisis situations and providing follow-up care as required.
- Participate in weekly supervision, case reviews, clinical rounds, and team meetings to ensure the delivery of effective family support services.
Qualifications:
- Degree required in one of the Human Sciences, Childcare, or a related field.
- Minimum two to four years\u2019 experience working with infants, children, and/or adolescents, and families.
- Family and in-home support experience preferred.
- Case Management experience is preferred.
- Personal suitability.
