About the Role:The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and coordinating the activities of our food service staff, ensuring that our customers receive high-quality service and experience. They will also be responsible for managing inventory, preparing schedules, and training staff members.
Responsibilities:- Supervise and co-ordinate activities of staff who prepare and portion food;
- Establish methods to meet work schedules;
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies;
- Train staff in job duties, sanitation, and safety procedures;
- Estimate ingredient and supplies required for meal preparation;
- Hire food service staff;
- Ensure that food and service meet quality control standards;
- Prepare budget and cost estimates;
- Address customer complaints or concerns;
- Maintain records of stock, repairs, sales, and wastage;
- Prepare and submit reports;
- A minimum of 1 year to less than 2 years of experience as a hospitality team lead or equivalent role;
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills;
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines;
- Ability to maintain accurate records and reports;
- Familiarity with inventory management and scheduling software is an asset.
This is a permanent full-time position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The work environment is fast-paced, and the employee must be able to stand for extended periods, walk, bend, crouch, and kneel. Physical demands are moderate to heavy.
