Job Title: Project Cost Control Manager

Infrastructure Ontario is seeking a highly skilled Project Cost Control Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Project Delivery Enterprise Team, you will be responsible for delivering cost control services to our projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement cost control plans and procedures for projects, ensuring compliance with Infrastructure Ontario's cost control framework.
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and mitigate risks, and to develop strategies for managing changes and variations.
  • Provide cost control training and support to project teams, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and knowledge to manage costs effectively.
  • Develop and analyze metrics for project reporting, including cost control performance, contingency usage, and estimate at completion calculations.
  • Work with other departments, such as Finance and Budgeting, to ensure an integrated cost management system is implemented.
Requirements:
  • Several years of experience in cost control and project management, with a strong background in engineering, construction, or capital project management.
  • Experience applying cost control frameworks and associated connections to centralized project controls guidelines.
  • Collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and gain consensus with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ability to use and update Power BI dashboards.
  • Background in implementation of cost and change control features in PMIS applications is an asset.
