Key Responsibilities- Clean and sanitize all areas of the kitchen and dining space, including dishes, utensils, equipment, and floors;
- Operate dishwashers, wash dishes by hand, and maintain accurate records of food quantities used;
- Packaging take-out food and preparing simple menu items to meet customer demands;
- Taking customer orders, handling payments, and providing excellent customer service at all times;
- Restocking refrigerators, salad bars, and other storage areas to ensure efficient inventory management;
- Receiving, unpacking, and storing supplies in accordance with company protocols;
- Removing trash and recyclables from the premises;
- Sharpening knives and cleaning equipment as needed;
- Sweeping, mopping, washing, and polishing floors to maintain a clean and safe environment;
- Preparing and serving food to customers in a fast-paced environment;
- A secondary school graduation certificate or equivalent is required;
- 1-2 years of experience in food service or a related field is preferred;
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail and high levels of accuracy;
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic;
- Ability to lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs) and stand for extended periods;
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays;
Mary Brown's Restaurant offers a competitive salary of $35,000 - $45,000 per year, depending on experience, as well as opportunities for advancement and professional growth.
