Palliative Care Nurse Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled Palliative Care Nurse Consultant to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a key member of our Hospice Palliative Care Consultation Team, you will provide expert clinical guidance and support to primary care providers across various care settings.
Key Responsibilities- Establish relationships with key stakeholders in your assigned Health Service Delivery Area to promote palliative care best practices.
- Develop and implement education programs to enhance capacity across the continuum of care.
- Provide consultative services on complex pain, symptom, and psychosocial issues for patients registered with our NH HPC Program.
- Lead the development of policies, procedures, and education needs related to the NH HPC Program.
- Registration with BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN registrant.
- Minimum two years of full-time experience in palliative care nursing with a focus on pain and symptom management.
- Certificate of specialized training in palliative care or post-basic palliative care nursing courses.
- Two years of demonstrated teaching experience for a range of healthcare providers.

- Four weeks of vacation with one year of continuous service.
