Job Title: Manager, Learning Design and Development

About the Role

BDO is seeking a seasoned Learning Design Manager to join our National Office in Toronto. As a key member of our Learning and Development team, you will be responsible for designing and delivering high-quality learning programs that enhance the learner experience and drive business results.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop learning programs and solutions that align with industry-leading adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to identify learning needs and develop strategic firm-wide learning programs.
  • Work closely with the Learning & Development team to ensure that learning experiences are effective and meet business objectives.
  • Develop and maintain up-to-date knowledge of current practices and emerging trends in instructional technology, educational policy, and assessment of learning effectiveness.
  • Contribute to the development of our learning culture by building relationships and elevating stakeholders' understanding of effective learning strategies for adult learners.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of experience in Instructional Design and/or Learning & Development.
  • 10+ years of practical experience developing learning solutions in multiple modalities.
  • Deep understanding of the modern learning profession and its value to organizations.
  • Strong coaching, group facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong project management skills and experience using tools like MS Project or Smartsheet.
  • Ability to build relationships and maintain trust with executive-level stakeholders.
