Job Opportunity

BDO is seeking a seasoned Learning Design Manager to join our National Office in Toronto. As a key member of the Learning and Development team, you will be responsible for designing and implementing strategic firm-wide learning programs that enhance the learner experience and drive business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop learning programs and solutions that align with industry-leading adult learning principles and instructional design best practices.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to clarify requirements and develop instructional design approaches that address business and learning needs.
  • Deliver high-level instructional design proposals to stakeholders and advance their understanding of the benefits of our program design.
  • Lead the design and development of learning projects using strong project management skills and tools.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of current practices and emerging trends in instructional technology, educational policy, and blended and online learning.
Requirements
  • 15+ years of experience in Instructional Design and/or Learning & Development.
  • 10+ years of practical experience developing learning solutions in multiple modalities.
  • Deep understanding of the modern learning profession and its value to organizations.
  • Practical experience in designing and implementing measurement strategies for programs of various complexity and scope.
  • Strong coaching, group facilitation, and presentation skills at all levels.
  • Ability to collaborate with others and manage a creative development process.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (verbal, written, and presentation).
  • Strong project management skills and experience using tools like MS Project, Smartsheet, or similar.
