Job Title: Continuing Care Assistant

Join VON Canada, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing clinical, personal, and social support to individuals who want to live every day to the fullest in their own homes and communities.

About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to join our team in Annapolis and Kings County, Nova Scotia. As a Continuing Care Assistant, you will work with clients in their homes to provide personal care, assist with daily living activities, and provide respite care.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide personal care to clients in their homes, including grooming, dressing, and bathing
  • Assist with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and light household duties
  • Provide respite care to clients and their families
  • Monitor and maintain household safety
  • Work with clients to develop and implement personalized care plans
Requirements:
  • Continuing Care Assistant Certification (CCA)
  • PSW, HSW, etc. certification from another province or other relevant certification or work experience
  • Current CPR/First Aid certification
  • A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle
  • A current and original copy of a satisfactory Criminal Records Check and Child Abuse Registry Check
