Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Transportation Management (OTM) Technical Support Specialist to join our dynamic IT team. This role requires advanced technical expertise, strong analytical skills, and the ability to lead technical projects with precision.

The ideal candidate will provide expert-level support for our applications, ensuring optimal performance, and facilitating smooth operations across various business units.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Application Support and Troubleshooting: Provide advanced technical support for complex application issues, analyze application logs and performance metrics, and collaborate with developers and vendors to diagnose and address application-related problems.
  • Incident Management: Manage and prioritize incident tickets, ensure timely resolution, and coordinate with other IT teams and departments to ensure effective incident management and communication.
  • System Maintenance and Upgrades: Oversee routine maintenance, patches, and upgrades for applications to ensure stability and security, plan and execute application deployments, and ensure minimal disruption to end-users.
  • Performance Monitoring and Optimization: Monitor application performance, identify opportunities for optimization, implement and manage performance tuning strategies, and improve application efficiency.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for application support processes, troubleshooting guides, and knowledge bases, prepare and present reports on application performance, incidents, and support activities to management.
  • User Support and Training: Provide expert guidance and support to end-users, develop and deliver training materials and sessions to enhance user knowledge and application proficiency.
  • Project Management: Lead and participate in application-related projects, including system upgrades, integrations, and new implementations, collaborate with project teams to define requirements, scope, and deliverables for application projects.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance application support efficiency and effectiveness, stay updated on industry trends and best practices to apply innovative solutions and technologies.

Requirements:

With a solid foundation in computer science or information technology, this role demands at least 10 years of IT experience, including the implementation of Oracle Transportation Management. As an OTM Expert, you should possess both functional and technical expertise, covering setup configuration, order management, shipment management, financials, rates, master data, bulk planning parameters, VPDs, user configuration, screen set development, SQL queries, tracking events, and working with CSV & XML files.

You should also have experience with OTM integration on multiple platforms and knowledge of logistics management principles and processes.

Compensation:

The estimated annual salary for this position is $120,000-$150,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
