Job Title: Art Gallery Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Art Gallery Coordinator to join our team at the Alternator Centre for Contemporary Art.

Job Summary

The Art Gallery Coordinator will be responsible for implementing and advertising promotional programs, performing clerical activities, and planning and organizing daily operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement and advertise promotional programs to attract visitors and increase engagement
  • Perform clerical activities, including manual and electronic filing, and record payments received
  • Plan and organize daily operations, including exhibition setup and takedown
  • Assist with the development and implementation of exhibition programs
  • Provide excellent customer service and respond to inquiries in a timely manner
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field, or equivalent experience
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Proficiency in Mac OS and Adobe Suite
  • Knowledge of social media platforms and ability to create engaging content
