About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our team at Big Instance Technologies Inc. as a Telecommunications Network Specialist.

Key Responsibilities
  • Network Installation and Maintenance: Install, arrange, remove, and maintain telephone equipment, wiring, and associated hardware.
  • Equipment Repair and Testing: Repair or replace defective telephone equipment, and test installed telephone systems to locate transmission faults.
  • System Analysis and Troubleshooting: Analyze test results and adjust, change, or repair switching systems, networks, associated equipment, and software.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Complete and maintain test and service reports, and determine the nature, cause, and location of trouble.
  • Team Collaboration: Instruct apprentices, and work collaboratively with other team members to achieve common goals.
  • Physical Demands: Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders, or other support structures, and perform tasks that require manual dexterity and attention to detail.
Requirements
  • Education: College/CEGEP degree in a related field.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in telecommunications.
  • Language: Fluency in English.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with tight deadlines, and a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, crouching, and kneeling.
