Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Technical Design Expert to provide project-specific application of expert design technology techniques.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide expertise and advisement to project teams for implementation of advanced design technology techniques.
  • Offer feedback on project-based activities to the firm-wide Advanced Technologies Group team.
  • Contribute to all phases of projects as a resource and team member.
  • Maintain current knowledge of design software, industry developments in integrated practice, and other applicable techniques.
  • Dedicate time to research new and upcoming technologies.
  • May contribute to the production of project deliverables.
  • Act as a mentor by coaching and motivating project team members in the use of advanced technologies.
  • Take personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.

For Architecture Discipline:

  • Utilize specialist knowledge to conduct complex modeling, data management, analysis, and/or optimization for architectural designs such as building massing or exterior enclosures.
  • Provide specialized design analyses such as pedestrian/egress simulation, sustainable design analysis, or code compliance analysis.
  • Leverage specialized knowledge to develop and produce rich interactive visual experiences via various mediums – traditional (interactive and 2D video) and XR (AR, MR, VR) technologies.
  • Develop interactive visualization content leveraging the latest game engine technology.
  • Leverage Business Intelligence tools to analyze and perform exhaustive analysis of project-related data.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Advanced knowledge in Building Information Modeling programs and applicable techniques.
  • Expertise in Revit is required.
  • Proficiency in 3D Modeling and analysis software including the ability to configure applications.
  • Knowledge about sustainability, integrated design, and LEED guidelines.
  • Ability to effectively meet deadlines and manage own time.
  • Ability to communicate and present effectively.
Estimated Salary Range:$120,000 - $180,000 per year.
Other Requirements:
  • Reliability Security Clearance at a minimum, or the ability to obtain such clearance, is a requirement for this position.
  • Travel may be required.
  • Overtime may be required.
