Human Resources Coordinator

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Human Resources Coordinator to join our dynamic team at HUB International Insurance Brokers. As a key member of our HR team, you will be responsible for providing administrative support and coordination of various HR initiatives and projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the delivery of various annual HR cycles, including merit review, performance reviews, goal setting, and bonus administration.
  • Maintain the HR calendar of annual events and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Coordinate and process employee events, such as transfers, promotions, changes in hours or work schedule, and offboarding.
  • Administer the Leave Management process, including facilitating STD processes and tracking.
  • Advise and educate employees on company programs, benefits, and policies.
  • Ensure all Human Resource forms, policies, and manuals are up-to-date.
  • Lead company-wide HR initiatives, such as Service Awards, Employee of the Year, and Employee Appreciation Day.
  • Oversee the HR mailbox and respond to inquiries.
  • Enhance and maintain the HR SharePoint page.
  • Act as backup for payroll audit and processing.
  • Act as backup for HRBPs as required.
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of HR experience.
  • Knowledge of HR best practices and regulations, including BC Employment Standards Act and Human Rights Legislation.
  • Diploma in Human Resource Management or equivalent combination of education and experience preferred.
  • Insurance industry experience/knowledge is an asset.
  • Ability and flexibility to travel to various offices and locations within the lower mainland.
  • A reliable team-player.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment juggling multiple priorities.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and well-organized.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Previous experience with Workday.
