Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team at GLOBAL DIESEL SERVICES INC. As an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician, you will assist in the diagnosis and repair of diesel engines and other automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Diesel Engines
    • Use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions in diesel engines and other automotive systems.
    • Perform repairs and replacements of parts and components as needed.
  • Inspect and Test Mechanical Units
    • Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
    • Test mechanical units to determine their functionality and identify areas for improvement.
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
    • Inspect and test vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
  • Advise Customers on Work Performed
    • Communicate with customers to explain the work performed and any necessary repairs or maintenance.
    • Provide recommendations for future repairs or maintenance to ensure optimal vehicle performance.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Physical Capabilities
    • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.

    • Accurate and dependable with strong judgment and teamwork skills.
