Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician to join our team at GLOBAL DIESEL SERVICES INC. As an Apprentice Motor Vehicle Technician, you will be responsible for assisting experienced technicians in the diagnosis and repair of motor vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and Repair Motor Vehicles
    • Use computerized and other testing equipment to diagnose faults and malfunctions
    • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
    • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Perform Scheduled Maintenance Service
    • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes and tire rotations
    • Inspect and maintain equipment and tools
  • Advise Customers
    • Communicate with customers to understand their vehicle's needs
    • Provide recommendations for repairs and maintenance
  • Work in a Fast-Paced Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
    • Meet deadlines and manage time effectively
Requirements
  • Education
    • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
    • Or equivalent experience
  • Experience
    • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in a related field
  • Certifications
    • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
