About the Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Automotive Service Technician Apprentice to join our team at Bramgate Automotive. As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be responsible for assisting our experienced technicians in the diagnosis and repair of complex automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the diagnosis and repair of automotive systems
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks
  • Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems
  • Confirm findings with supervisor to determine whether to repair or replace unit
  • Discuss work with supervisor
  • Review work orders
  • Road test motor vehicles
  • Test automotive systems and components
  • Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems
  • Repair or replace mechanical units or components
  • Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications
  • Perform scheduled maintenance service
  • Test and adjust units to specifications
  • Complete reports to record problems and work performed
  • Provide customer service
Requirements
  • Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
  • Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification
  • Tire, wheel and rim mechanic
  • Automotive Service Technician (Steering, Suspension and Brakes) Trade Certification
  • Driver's Licence (Class 2 or B or C)
  • Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate
  • Automotive Service Technician Red Seal Certificate
Work Environment

As an Automotive Service Technician Apprentice, you will be working in a fast-paced workshop environment. You will be required to stand for extended periods and have good hand-eye coordination, attention to detail, and manual dexterity.
