Job Summary

Ridley College is seeking a reliable and safety-minded Bus Driver to transport students to and from school. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and the ability to work with children.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a bus in a safe and effective manner to minimize the risk of injury or loss of life.
  • Follow all relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Perform safety and maintenance checks of the bus pre-trip and post-trip.
  • Pick up and deliver students as per a set schedule.
  • Ensure students are aware of rules and responsibilities as passengers.
  • Make note of any behavioral or disciplinary issues.

Qualifications

  • Meet the minimum age requirements to hold a school bus driver's license in the province of Ontario.
  • Hold a class B license with Z endorsement.
  • Must hold a valid (non-probationary) driver's license for Ontario.
  • Possess a very good driving record.
  • Must undergo pre-employment drug testing with satisfactory results and comply with our random drug check policy for student safety.
