Service Technician

Key Responsibilities:

As a Service Employee, you will be responsible for maintaining and fueling school buses, activity, and commercial buses in conjunction with our Maintenance Department. This includes dispensing fuel, checking oil, maintaining accurate records, and coordinating the flow of buses to ensure safe operation.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Opens the gates to the lot and checks bus parking areas to ensure all can be dispatched in a timely manner.
  • Maintains accurate records and completes reports as required.
  • Notifies the Location Manager or designee when a fuel delivery is required.
  • Checks and fills the oil, antifreeze, power steering, transmission fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, and belts on buses being fueled.
  • Performs light interior and exterior maintenance on buses as required.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Knowledge of bus maintenance an asset.
  • Ability to learn maintenance skills.
  • Valid Driver's license an asset.
  • Vehicle fueling, cleaning, and detailing experience a plus.
  • Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions.
  • Ability to work independently and ensure safety.
  • Good communication skills.
