Job Title: Project Director

Adecco Canada's Client is seeking a dynamic Project Director to oversee and drive large-scale projects from inception to successful completion. The Project Director will lead cross-functional teams, ensure alignment with strategic business goals, manage project portfolios, and be accountable for delivering high-quality outcomes within budget and on schedule.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Project Leadership: Lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple, large-scale projects in line with business objectives.
  • Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and securing stakeholder buy-in throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Team Leadership: Manage and mentor project managers and other team members, ensuring collaboration and accountability across all levels.
  • Portfolio & Resource Management: Oversee project portfolios, allocate resources effectively, and balance priorities across multiple projects to maximize efficiency.
  • Budget & Financial Oversight: Ensure projects are delivered within budgetary constraints and generate accurate financial forecasts and reports for senior leadership.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks that could affect project outcomes, adjusting project plans and strategies as necessary.
  • Quality Control: Ensure that all projects adhere to the highest quality standards and comply with relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Performance Tracking: Utilize project management tools to track progress, resolve issues, and ensure that deadlines are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Implement and refine project management methodologies, processes, and tools to drive ongoing project optimization.


Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, IT, Project Management, or a related field. MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a leadership role such as Project Director, Senior Project Manager, or Program Manager.
  • Certifications: PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile certifications highly preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Strong understanding of project management software (e.g., JIRA, Microsoft Project, Asana), budget management, and team collaboration tools.
  • Leadership Abilities: Proven experience in leading large, diverse teams and managing multi-million-dollar project portfolios.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills, with the ability to lead high-stakes projects.
