Clinical Therapist Adult

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Therapist to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a member of our multi-disciplinary team, you will be responsible for delivering time-limited, evidence-based psycho-social assessments and treatments to adults with Tier-3 mental disorders and Substance Use Disorders.
You will work within a Stepped Care framework, guided by disorder-based clinical care pathways. Each clinician participates in a consultation group to ensure collegial support, accountability, and effectiveness of assessments and treatments.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with a Master's Degree in a clinical health-related discipline, such as Social Work, Psychology, or Nursing. You must have current registration with the relevant provincial regulatory body and a minimum of two years' related experience.
You should have a strong understanding of the principles of harm reduction, the dynamics of addiction, and evidence-based interventions for the treatment of addiction. You should also be familiar with the DSM-5 criteria for the classification and diagnosis of mental health disorders.
We are seeking a candidate who is able to work independently with limited supervision and participate as a member of a multidisciplinary team. You should have basic competencies in relation to identifying and treating concurrent mental health and substance use disorders.
HoursThis is a full-time, long-assignment position with 75 hours bi-weekly.
Compensation and BenefitsClinical Therapist: $37.31 - $49.05 hourly. Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage, as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
