Job Title: Network & Telecom - Network Engineer

Job Summary:

Alstom is seeking a highly skilled Network & Telecom - Network Engineer to join our team. As a Network & Telecom - Network Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and validating network and telecom solutions. You will utilize your experience and expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and have the ability to effect short-term and some long-term business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deploy network and telecom solutions
  • Participate in network and telecom design team
  • Utilize experience and expertise to solve problems
  • Develop and execute objectives for self and others
  • Effect short-term and some long-term business goals

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience in networking or telecommunication
  • 10+ years experience
  • P. Eng certification or in progress

Desired Characteristics:

  • CCNA/CCNP/CCDE/CCIE certifications desirable
  • Knowledge to configure UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface)/ startup software of network hardware including servers, routers, and other computer devices
  • Understanding of TCP/IP and LAN/WAN
  • Knowledge of network security and policies
  • Knowledge of routing protocols and IP or SR MPLS
  • Writing and performing test cases on both network equipment and network
  • Understanding of system and sub-system level requirements
