Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily asphalt production operations to ensure efficient plant performance.
  • Monitor and maintain asphalt plant equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety.
  • Unload truck loads of liquid asphalt safely and efficiently.
  • Perform routine mechanical duties, including bearing and belt maintenance.
  • Contribute to the upkeep and maintenance of the asphalt plant.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management.

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced asphalt plant environment.
  • Regular work shifts are 8 hours per day.
  • May require extended shifts, night work, and weekend work.
  • Exposure to outdoor elements.
  • Some physical labor, including lifting, may be required.
  • Work at heights.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a general laborer may be beneficial.
  • Basic mechanical knowledge and skills.
  • Specific training in asphalt production and handling.
  • Welding experience is an asset.
  • Batching knowledge and skills are required.
