Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily asphalt production operations
  • Monitor and maintain asphalt plant equipment to ensure efficient operations
  • Unload truck loads of liquid asphalt safely and efficiently
  • Perform mechanical duties such as bearing and belt maintenance
  • Contribute to plant maintenance and upkeep
  • Perform other tasks as directed by management

Working Conditions:

  • Work in a fast-paced asphalt plant environment
  • Regular work shifts are 8 hours per day
  • May require extended shifts, night work, and weekend work
  • Exposure to the elements and physical demands of the job
  • Working at heights

Requirements:

  • Previous experience as a general labourer may be required
  • Mechanical knowledge and skills
  • Specific asphalt training and experience
  • Welding experience is an asset
  • Batching knowledge and skills
