Asphalt Plant Technician

Tomlinson Group of Companies is seeking a skilled Asphalt Plant Operator/Batcher to join our team at our Ottawa area asphalt plants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with daily asphalt production operations
  • Monitor and maintain efficient plant operations
  • Unload truck loads of liquid asphalt safely
  • Perform mechanical duties such as bearing and belt maintenance
  • Maintain plant equipment and perform other tasks as directed

Working Conditions:

  • Work at the asphalt plant
  • Regular hour shifts with some extended shifts, night work, and weekend work
  • Exposure to the elements
  • Some physical work, including lifting
  • Working at heights

Requirements:

  • General labourer experience may be required
  • Mechanical knowledge and asphalt training
  • Batching knowledge and welding experience are assets
