Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Speech Language Pathologist to join our team at the ErinoakKids Center for Treatment and Development. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment services to children with communication disorders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assessment and Intervention: Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders in children, and develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address these needs.
  • Case Management: Manage a caseload of clients, providing regular communication and updates to families, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care.
  • Family Support: Provide education and training to families on communication strategies and techniques to support their child's development, and offer guidance on how to access community resources.
  • Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other healthcare professionals, including occupational therapists, psychologists, and physicians, to ensure a comprehensive and coordinated approach to care.
Requirements:
  • Education: Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Experience: Two years of clinical experience working with children with special needs, preferably in a pediatric setting.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with children, families, and healthcare professionals.
  • Certifications: Registration with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario (CASLPO), and a valid vulnerable sector check.
