Job Description

The Crystal Ladder Learning Centre is seeking a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team of dedicated professionals.

About the Role

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication needs and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Provide individualized speech therapy sessions and group sessions during seasonal camps.
  • Collaborate with a team of Communicative Disorders Assistants to implement treatment plans and provide consultation and training as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents and caregivers to ensure effective communication and progress updates.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans and goals.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices in speech-language pathology.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments, develop recommendations, and write reports.
  • Develop treatment plans and provide therapy as clinically recommended.
  • Meet with parents to keep them informed on progress/updates regarding the SLP intervention and to address any concerns.
  • Work with administration to ensure that all learners receive their weekly speech sessions.
  • Plan for seasonal camps during March break and summer break.
  • Provide parent training as clinically recommended to facilitate carryover and generalization.
  • Provide consultation and potential training to other professionals in the center who are providing services for neurodiverse learners.
  • Implement, troubleshoot, and support augmentative alternative communication devices.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid license or eligibility for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology related to speech-language pathology.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with patients of all ages.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions

  • Monday to Friday schedule.
  • Full-time, permanent position.
  • From $45.00 per hour.

Language Requirements

  • English is the primary language of communication.
