Job Title: Manager, Digital Marketing Strategy

Reporting to the Director of Marketing for Sun Life, the Digital Marketing Strategy Manager will work closely with the marketing and sales leadership teams to deliver marketing and communications initiatives to meet our growth-focused objectives and drive business results. The role will be partnering with external and internal partners to drive strategy marketing strategy for Sun Life to build an end-to-end digital journey.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Building the end-to-end strategy to establish and grow Prospr & SL Go
  • Planning and executing digital marketing campaigns
  • Establishing and implementing marketing analytics standards and measurement plans to ensure we are successfully delivering on our goals
  • Assessing and implementing growth optimization for multiple channels including digital display, paid search, paid social, online affiliate, external partnerships, and email channels
  • Building and executing on A/B testing strategies to inform campaign strategies
  • Establishing strong working relationships with internal/external stakeholders, including Creative Services, Legal, Compliance, etc., to launch new programs effectively
  • Partnering with teams to test new channels and technology to drive innovation and client acquisition
  • Managing marketing budget and forecasts to ensure spending is managed properly to achieve business growth objectives
Requirements:
  • Management experience of teams or individuals
  • Digital Marketing – demonstrated experience in delivering direct-to-digital marketing programs (social media, paid search, affiliate marketing, etc.)
  • Campaign Execution – demonstrated experience in managing performance-based digital marketing campaigns
  • Analytical Mindset – ability to draw insights from data to inform future campaign design
  • Organizational Skills – proven ability to manage multiple initiatives and deliver against required timelines and budget
  • Relationship Management – proven ability to build and cultivate strong relationships with internal/external stakeholders up, down, and across the organization
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal), with superb attention to detail in reviewing marketing materials
  • Ability to work independently and closely with other team members across the organization
  • Ability to synthesize complex ideas into actionable recommendations
  • Agile marketing/development experience
  • Experience with marketing campaign/project management
  • Experience with web analytics tools (i.e., Adobe Analytics)
  • Experience with CRM tools and marketing technologies
  • Understanding of direct response marketing and conversion rate optimization
  • Experience with Tag Management tools such as Google Tag Manager, Tealium, others
  • Solid knowledge of digital media strategies and bid management tools (Search, Social, Programmatic, etc.)
