Job Title: Landscaping Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Landscaping Supervisor to join our team at GP LANDSCAPING. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance and construction of outdoor spaces, ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Hire, Supervise, and Schedule Staff: Lead a team of landscapers and gardeners, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to complete tasks efficiently.
  • Plan and Direct Grounds Maintenance: Develop and implement maintenance plans for our clients' outdoor spaces, including lawn care, pruning, and planting.
  • Plan and Estimate Labour and Materials: Create detailed estimates for projects, including labour costs, materials, and equipment.
  • Organize and Direct Construction of Decks and Decorative or Retaining Walls: Oversee the construction of outdoor structures, ensuring that they are built to the highest standards.
  • Plan, Manage, and Supervise Landscape Construction Work: Coordinate with contractors and suppliers to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Maintain Work Records and Logs: Keep accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues that arose.
  • Tender and Administer Contracts: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, ensuring that their needs are met and that our team is fairly compensated.
  • Read Blueprints and Drawings: Interpret and understand blueprints and drawings to ensure that projects are completed accurately.
  • Repair and Maintain Equipment: Regularly inspect and maintain equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order.
  • Resolve Work Problems, Provide Technical Advice, and Recommend Measures to Improve Productivity and Product Quality: Troubleshoot issues that arise during projects, providing technical advice and guidance to team members.
  • Establish Work Schedules and Procedures: Develop and implement efficient work schedules and procedures to ensure that projects are completed on time.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
