Senior PLC Automation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Senior PLC Automation Specialist to join our Body-in-White division in a challenging role that combines cutting-edge automation technology with the opportunity to develop smart and sustainable factories for leading companies worldwide.

Our team of mechanical and controls engineering experts, skilled trades manufacturing professionals, and automation specialists work together throughout the entire programming, tryout, and installation phases of projects.
Job Responsibilities- Execute PLC logic and programming responsibilities at build locations during the build and debug stage, and at customer locations during installation and launch phases.
- Introduce programming enhancements in controls and logic systems aligned with customer changes or manufacturing requirements.
- Configure and set up smart devices like cameras, nut runners, and drives, integrating them into active projects.
- Gather data from machines according to customer requirements.
- Thoroughly document controls logic changes in coordination with our engineering team.
- Train PLC end-users at customer locations, showcasing Valiant TMS and employing results-oriented problem-solving skills.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 5+ years of experience in designing, installing, commissioning, servicing, and troubleshooting pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic automated equipment in an industrial or manufacturing environment.
- An Electrical Engineering/Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Automation, or Robotic Studies education.
- The ability to travel locally and internationally to support on-site at customer locations.
The estimated salary range for this position is $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
