Automation Systems Specialist

Job Overview
Flex-N-Gate, a leading manufacturer and supplier of automotive components, seeks a skilled professional to install, calibrate, and maintain automated industrial machinery.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement new processes, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and oversee system upgrades.
- Install retrofits, diagnose problems, and support start-up activities.
- Create and maintain automation processes, ensuring compliance with quality standards and safety regulations.
- Develop and implement testing procedures, write reports, and ensure instrument quality.
- Provide 24/7 support, install, diagnose, and fix programmable logic controllers, and other devices that operate automated equipment.
- Program, implement, and troubleshoot PLCs, robots, and HMI systems.
- Maintain production and support equipment, perform repairs, and assist in software maintenance.
- Improve equipment reliability, uptime, and implement continuous improvement ideas related to automation and robotics.
Working Conditions
- Physical ability to lift 60lbs.
- Manual dexterity.
- Overtime as required.
- Industrial workplace with required PPE.
- Support 3-shift operation (days, afternoons, midnights).
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.
- Strong technical knowledge of programming, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of equipment.
- Familiarity with PLCs, robotics, HMI programming, vision systems, and superior analytical capabilities.
- Problem-solving and decision-making skills, good written and verbal communication, and ability to work with minimal supervision.
Estimated Salary Range: $65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
