Job Summary


This role is responsible for leading and driving a performance improvement-based culture within the Reconciliation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of capital markets, operational processes, and regulatory requirements.


Key Responsibilities



  • Leads and drives the analysis and identification of Reconciliations automated match criteria and upstream data contributors to reconciliations performance.
  • Participates in cross-functional working committees to ensure adequate escalation and remediation of data contributing to reconciliations breaks.
  • Leads and manages assigned projects and initiatives, including project artifacts and reporting to executive leadership.
  • Designs and manages central offices for the adoption of new technology throughout the organization, establishing governance and best-practices to produce efficiencies.
  • Supports numerous projects requiring Reconciliation engagement and participation.
  • Develops a QC control function to measure the output of the function in order to increase efficiency.
  • Reviews current cash reconciliation processes and data inputs, analyzes and implements opportunities for automation.
  • Documents existing KPI/KRI metrics and determines future state, partnering with the business stakeholders, leadership, and the data team(s) to produce useful business intelligence.
  • Understands how the Bank's risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.
  • Ensures all processes and rules are documented in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Creates an environment in which the team pursues effective and efficient operations of their respective areas, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to, and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational risk, regulatory compliance risk, AML/ATF risk, and conduct risk.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements


The ideal candidate will have a University degree in Finance, Business, or related studies and a minimum of 5 years in Capital Markets and/or Project Management role. They will also have excellent understanding of capital markets, operational processes, market practices, and regulatory requirements pertaining to such. Prior experience in a Change-oriented role within Operations of Technology is also required.
